Contact: J. Stapleton (403) 256-0659 Cell (403) 689-0659 E-mailGEOLOGY of PEACE RIVER ARCH  overview of geology of PRAfield trip into the PRA DIMs Trend: "West Peace River Diamond Indicator Mineral Trend" refers to our assessment work report of 1998 that suggests magnetic surveys and the kimberlitic indicator minerals found in the Clear Hills are predictive in that a discovery of a cluster of volcanic intrusives will be discovered there. Discovery of 40+ kimberlites in the Red Earth - Buffalo Head Hills area of northern Alberta puts to rest the question of whether diamonds exist in Alberta. Analysis shows that graben structures and their bounding fault systems, previously mapped by oil and gas companies and imaged with seismic surveys, provide the opportunity for kimberlites to penetrate through thickened continental crust, and delivered perioditic and eclogitic mantle magmas to surface between 74 and 88 mybp. West Peace River Arch: West of the Peace River graben systems in the Clear Hills and Hotchkiss Hills are extensions to the Fort St. John Graben and Dawson Creek collapse complexes, evidenced by regional Precambrian structure. Exploration at Buffalo Head Hills shows that kimberlites at grabens and half-grabens are largely diamond-barren while magmas that form diatremes on the margins outside of bounding (boundary) faults are usually diamondiferous.Geological Formations. BAD HEART-the-smoking-gun:Clear Hills Iron Ores: Since there are no demonstrated economic diamond-bearing kimberlites in Alberta, we shifted our focus to mineral deposits that are known. Clear Hills iron ores are known and have Fe, V and gold, so we set about drilling the ores to 43-101 standards at Rambling Creek in 2007. The work is still underway. The complexity of the ores, and questions about style of emplacement and age, confounded our understanding about Clear Hills iron. We mapped some of the ores from Spirit River to Dunvegan, Worsley, Rambling Creek, and into the Hotchkiss Hills. In the context of Dunvegan to Waptiti times, and volcanic activity in and along north Peace River Arch, and deep basement faults, a description of the vast mineralization in the Clear Hills becomes more clear if one accepts the notion that the Dunvegan, Kaskapau, Bad Heart and Wapiti shorelines and the shallow Alberta Cretaceous Seaway, was penetrated in a series of episodic volcanic events over a 15my period. Clear Hills is highly mineralized and the underlying structures are equally great in magnitude.(reference pages) Volcanic EventsThe preponderance of bentonitic soils, tuffs and ash layers at various locations in the Peace River District indicate that volcanic events occurred at West Peace River. And drilling off a kimberlite will settle the issue. The contention that Bad Heart has a volcanic source may never be proven. ARRIBA ExplorationGeology of the Peace River Arch and the discovery of commercial mineral deposits rest on certain geological conditions:
